Ukrainian soybean exports in April fell to a three-month low

According to operational data, in April 2025, soybean exports from Ukraine decreased to a three-month minimum of about 330 thousand tons , which is 11% less than in March. This is reported by analysts of APK-Inform IA.
The main reasons for the decline in exports were seasonal factors , in particular:
-
intensification of soybean trade from South America,
-
increased competition in key sales markets,
-
decrease in demand and buyer activity in Ukrainian ports.
Thus, exports to the EU decreased by 28% to 127 thousand tons ,
and deliveries to Turkey fell more than half to 60 thousand tons compared to March.
At the same time, Egypt became the most active importer of Ukrainian soybeans in April - 100 thousand tons were shipped to the country, which is 3.3 times more than in March. This is the highest monthly figure since March 2024.
In total, during September-April of the 2024/25 marketing year, Ukraine exported 3 million tons of soybeans , which is 18% higher than the same indicator of the previous season.
The European Union accounted for 43% of total exports (last year — 33%).
