Experts from the Ukrainian Grain Association predict that in 2026 the harvest of grain and oilseed crops will increase compared to the previous year from 80 to 83.6 million tons.
Against this background, agricultural exports could increase from 42.3 to 50.8 million tons if Russia's constant attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure and energy do not complicate the logistical situation.
Compared to last year, crop production in 2026 is expected to increase by:
- wheat – from 22.5 to 22.8 million tons, and its exports will increase from 13.5 to 17 million tons,
- barley – from 4.9 to 5.2 million tons, and exports – from 1.6 to 2.2 million tons,
- corn – from 31.1 to 32.1 million tons, and exports – from 22 to 27 million tons,
- sunflower – from 11.1 to 13.3 million tons,
- rapeseed - from 3.2 to 3.4 million tons, of which only 1.9 million tons will be exported.
At the same time, soybean production may decrease from 5 to 4.9 million tons, and its exports from 2.9 to 2.3 million tons due to legislative restrictions, so the remaining crop will be processed domestically.
