Strategie Grains experts have raised the forecast for the EU soft wheat and barley harvest in 2025/26 MY

Experts from the consulting agency Strategie Grains have increased (compared to December estimates) the forecast for the EU soft wheat harvest in the 2025/26 MY from 126.6 to 127.2 million tonnes, and barley - to 50.5 million tonnes, although the area sown with spring barley will decrease. This was facilitated by good weather conditions in Germany and Poland, - reports Reuters.

At the same time, Strategie Grains expects an increase in corn sowing areas, which, against the background of its high yield, especially in the countries of Southeastern Europe, will allow increasing production to 60.3 million tons in 2025, which will be 3.1% lower than the average 5-year figure.
