MARS experts have increased the yield forecast for soft wheat and rapeseed in the EU

The European Harvest Monitoring Service (MASR) has increased the forecast for common wheat yield in the EU countries in 2025 from 6.08 to 6.09 t/ha compared to June estimates, which will be 6% higher than the 5-year average.
Yield estimates have also been increased:
- durum wheat – from 3.75 to 3.78 t/ha,
- spring barley – from 4.9 to 5 t/ha,
- winter barley – from 5.38 to 5.45 t/ha,
- rapeseed - from 3.17 to 3.2 t/ha (8% more than last year).
At the same time, the yield forecast has been lowered:
- corn – from 7.46 to 7.18 t/ha,
- sugar beet - from 76.3 to 74.8 t/ha.
According to MARS estimates, the yield of other crops will be:
- rye – 4.2 t/ha,
- triticale – 4.48 t/ha,
- potatoes – 36.5 t/ha,
- sunflower – 1.94 t/ha,
- soybeans – 2.65 t/ha,
- beans – 2.81 t/ha,
- peas – 2.41 t/ha.
Recall that the National Association of Agricultural Cooperatives in Germany increased the forecast for the wheat harvest from 21.51 to 21.56 million tons (which will exceed last year's figure by 17%) and rapeseed - to 3.88 million tons (+7.1% compared to 2024).
