Two grain terminals in Novorossiysk stopped working due to a unique operation by the Armed Forces of Ukraine

As a result of an attack by Ukrainian drones on the night of August 12, the Russian grain terminal in Novorossiysk, owned by Demetra Holding, was damaged and suspended, Reuters reports, citing industry sources.

A representative of Demetra Holding confirmed the fact of damage to the facility, but did not provide details and declined further comments, noting that "the terminal has suspended operations and an assessment of the damage is currently being carried out."

Numerous photos from the scene show that the conveyor overpass, through which grain was being delivered to the port for unloading, collapsed.

Also, according to three other Reuters sources, the Novorossiysk Bread Products Plant (NKHP), another large grain terminal with an export capacity of 7.1 million tons of grain per year, was damaged and suspended during the attack.

President Zelensky confirmed that the Defense Forces of Ukraine conducted a unique operation in Novorossiysk, which is considered the main outpost of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea.
The operation simultaneously involved "Palyanytsia" jet drones, "Neptune" missiles, and naval unmanned systems, the clear coordination in their use indicates a high level of organization of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Hits on air defense positions, berths, and seaport infrastructure have now been confirmed.
