Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bunge International and chief Executive Soren Schroder (Soren Shreder) said that due to dry and hot weather in Brazil can be collected at 5-10 million tons of corn less than expected.
the maize of the second crop are now in a critical phase of development. However, the heat and lack of moisture negates hopes for a record crop, harvesting of which will begin in may.
Soren Schroeder believes that the yield may be 5-10 million tons and instead of corn exports in Brazil have to buy it from USA or countries of the black sea region, particularly Ukraine.
