Exchange wheat prices fall despite the activity of the physical market

Yesterday, the wheat exchange was influenced by the fall in oil prices and other assets. Further pressure on prices is the absence of fundamental factors for growth and pre passivity speculators who profit-taking.

Caused by a slowdown in the growth of the US economy the fed rate hike led to a fall in wheat prices by 1.4% and 1.7%.

Traders fear that the recent rise in the price of U.S. wheat due to rising prices for Russian wheat may not to continue.

the March wheat quotations declined:

by 3.21 $/t to 186,84 $/t for solid winter HRW wheat in Kansas city

by 3.03 $/t to 208,88 $/t on a firm spring HRS wheat in Minneapolis.

• 3.77 $/t to 191,98 $/t for SRW soft winter-wheat in Chicago

the March futures on French wheat on Wednesday fell to a week low under the influence of the rapid fall in Chicago and the sharp appreciation of the Euro.

• Futures on milling wheat in Paris fell by 2 €/t to 205,25 €/t or 233,62 $/t

Egyptian GASC Agency December 20, will hold a tender for the purchase of 55-60 thousand tons of soft milling wheat on the delivery conditions 11-20 February. The success of the wheat will significantly support the market.

In Ukraine in the physical market wheat prices continue to rise, especially with a protein of 11.5% and 12.5% due to rising prices for Russian wheat with protein 12.5% to 235-240 $/ton for shipments in January-February.

the price of domestic wheat increased by 1-2 $/t, now in port, traders offer:

the protein of 11.5% 209-211 $/t or 6900-6950 UAH/t,

protein 12,5% 202-204 $/t or 6700-6750 UAH/t

• protein 12,5% 211-213 $/t or 6950-7050 UAH/t,

the Market expects Friday's meeting of the exporters with the Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Patrushev, which will determine the fate of Russian wheat exports in the second half of the season and directly affect prices of black sea wheat.
