Argentina increased exports of sunflower oil and meal in September

Argentina exported 170,000 tons of sunflower oil in September, bringing its total shipments during July-September 2025 to 0.59 million tons compared to 0.38 million tons for the same period in 2024, Oil World reports.

In particular, oil supplies to India increased to a record 365 thousand tons during this time, as a result of which the share of shipments to India in total oil exports increased to 62% compared to 17% in July-September 2024.

Also in September, the country increased its exports of sunflower meal to a 25-year high of 180,000 tonnes, almost 90% of which went to the EU and the UK. In the 2024/25 MY (October-September), exports of meal increased to 1.37 million tonnes compared to 1.12 million tonnes in the 2023/24 MY and only 0.79 million tonnes in the 2020/21 MY.
