Algeria buys large batch of wheat at a much lower price than in November
According to Reuters, on December 3, the Algerian state-owned company OAIC held a tender to purchase at least 50,000 tons of milling wheat of any origin, in which it purchased up to 900,000 tons of wheat, presumably of Russian or Argentine production, from 5 companies at a price of $255-256/ton C&F.
According to the terms of the tender, wheat of European or Black Sea origin must be shipped from February 1 to 15 and from February 16 to 28, and Australian or South American wheat - a month earlier.
Recall that on November 11, OAIC purchased at least 500 thousand tons of food wheat of any origin at an international tender for delivery in December - February at a price of $263-264/ton C&F with delivery to the port of Mostaganem and $270-271/ton C&F with delivery to the port of Tenes.
