Green Pool, the Agency increased the forecast of world sugar deficit in 2019/20 Mr

Experts Green Pool increased compared to the previous report, the forecast for world sugar deficit in 2019/20 Mr from 1.62 to 3.67 million tonnes, primarily due to a decrease in yield of cane in India and in southern Brazil and also dry conditions in Thailand, the EU, Australia and Mexico.

For Central-South region of Brazil the forecast of sugar production decreased from 26.8 to 25.8 mln t, in India – from 29.5 to 28.3 million tons.

the Market gradually gets rid of the excess, so a small deficit in 2019/20 Mr will return prices to the long term averages.

estimated Green Pool in 2017/18 MG world surplus of sugar was of 18.87 million tonnes in 2018/19 Mr – 3.75 million tons.

Experts USDA forecast in Ukraine in 2019, the sugar production will be reduced in comparison with the previous year by 17% to 1.37 mln t, while in "Ukrtsukor" expect a fall in production by a third to 1.1-1.2 million tons due to reduced planting acreage of sugar beet.
