In the prewar period, the company operated under the index "mailbox number 10" and was subordinated to the Kyiv territorial administration of the state food material reserves of the USSR. In 1960 in accordance with the order of the Ministry of bread products of the USSR "mailbox number 10" was renamed to "Bread base № 86".
The main activity of the branch is rendering services in taking, bringing the quality to the basic quality standards, storage and shipment of grain and oilseeds.
The total service grain capacity of the branch "Grain storage № 86" is 53.2 thousand tons.
The main storing cultures are wheat, maize, barley, rape, sunflower.
Capacity of the branch for receiving/shipping of grain:
acceptance from motor transport – 1500 ton/day;
shipment on railway transport of 900 t/day;
shipping vehicles – 400 tons/day
