Freight rates for the transportation of grain by barges from the Danube ports this week also continued to decrease, ASAP reports.

 

As of April 11, the rates for the transportation of 6,000 tons of corn by fire from the Danube ports have decreased:

  • in the direction of Marmara - by $1/t to $23-24/t,
  • to the eastern coast of Greece - by $1/t to $26-27/t,
  • to the Eastern Mediterranean - by $1-2/t to $28-29/t.

At the same time, rates for transportation to the east coast of Italy ($33-35/t), Israel ($35-37/t) and Spain ($37-39/t) remained unchanged.

 

Rates for transportation by hand-sized vessels from the deep-sea ports of Odessa remained almost unchanged:

  • to the Mediterranean coast of Egypt - at the level of $28-30/t,
  • Italy – $31-33/t,
  • Spain – $33-35/t,
  • Tunisia – rose to $37-38/t.

 

Rates for the transportation of corn by panamax from the deep sea ports of Odesa to China decreased by $2/t to $58-60/t.

 

While the cost of transporting corn by barge to Constanta remained unchanged at 10-11 €/t, and sunflower to Ruse/Silistra – 16-17 €/t.
