The production cuts led to a rise in milk prices

In Ukraine for 10 months 2017 g. the milk production decreased compared to the same period in 2016 by 0.8% to 8.96 million tons.

the seasonal decline in production in October the amount of milk produced has declined relative to September 84.9 thousand tons to 851,9 thousand tons, which almost corresponds to the index in October 2016.

In the total volume of milk the share of industrial production is 26.1% or 2.34 mln tonnes, which is 1.8% more than last year. While milk production by households decreased by 1.7% to 6.6 million tons.

Leaders in industrial milk production steel Poltava (358,7 thousand tons), Cherkasy (of 253.8 tons), Kharkiv (203 kt), Chernihiv (201,3 thousand tons) and Kiev (188,2 thousand tons).

Amount of realized within 1-3 blocks of milk increased compared to the previous year by 2.3% to 2 million tonnes, while the average sales price increased 38.3% to 6970 UAH/t. Most of the milk has been implemented in Poltava (303,18 thousand tons), Cherkasy (214,5 thousand tons) and Kiev (193, 9 thousand tons) areas. Separately processed at own facilities or in subcontracted schemes 24.2 thousand tons of milk.

during the specified period the number of cattle decreased by 0.5%, to 4.5 million head, of which in the industrial sector are of 1.18 million head (-4%), in private 2.8 million heads (+1.1 percent).

in Particular, the number of cows decreased by 1.9% to 2.1 million head. The number of cows in agricultural enterprises decreased by 3.2% to 474.1 tons were thousand heads in private farms, ha of 1.5% to 1.64 million head.
