Veterinary control of agricultural products transiting through Poland has been cancelled

In accordance with the agreements reached between the Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine M. Solskyi and the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland G. Kowalchyk, veterinary control of Ukrainian agricultural products transiting through Poland to the ports of Gdańsk, Gdynia, Świnoujście, Szczecin or to the ports of other countries. The simplified procedure will apply at all checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border where trucks are passed.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy told about the procedure for passing the pass procedure. If the cargo is transiting to the ports of Poland or other countries, at the checkpoint, the representative of the State Customs Service of Ukraine will put an additional stamp in column 2 of the CMR invoice, according to the list of goods (codes) and the recipient specified in the CMR invoice. The carrier will present the CMR - waybill with an additional stamp to the customs authorities of the Republic of Poland.

If there is no additional stamp in column 2 of the CMR consignment note, and the goods fall under the list of goods (codes) and will transit through the Republic of Poland, then the Polish side will have the right to return the truck to the territory of Ukraine.

On the Polish side, after passing border and customs control, trucks with transit goods will be sealed.

For railway transportation, the goods will not be subject to vet control by Polish inspectors, if the bill of lading (SMGS, or CIM, or CIM/SMGS) indicates a recipient located in the ports of Gdańsk, Gdynia, Świnoujście, Szczecin or in the ports of other EU member states.

If the goods are transiting through the Republic of Poland, but the bill of lading indicates a consignee who transships from Ukrainian-standard wagons to European wagons on the territory of the Republic of Poland, the application of the simplified procedure will be possible on condition that a contract (or other document) is provided with a European carrier confirming the fact transit movement to the ports of Poland or other countries.

Sealing of wagons, as before, will be carried out in accordance with the existing technical requirements and conditions of sealing, and additional sealing is not provided for.

We will remind that Ukraine is increasing the export of products by motor transport to Europe. From March 1 to March 6, 158,000 tons of agricultural products were exported by trucks, while in the same period in February, this figure was 147,000 tons, and in January - only 77,000 tons.
