Ukraine will have a new control system security and quality of food

4 April, Ukraine will have an updated control system for safety and food quality, which is determined by the Law of Ukraine "On state control over the observance of legislation on food, feed, by-products of animal origin, animal health".

the New law will ensure the highest quality and safety of food products and determine transparent procedures to minimize corruption risks, which will contribute to the development of market competition. The biggest achievement of the new law, the authors consider a risk-oriented verification procedure for market participants and the introduction of the inspection report.

a violation of the law will be strictly punished. Depending on the type of offense the amount of the fine for legal persons can reach up to 70 thousand UAH. The inspector has the right to temporarily stop the production or circulation of food and/or feed if the inspection company will identify factors that threaten the health or life of people.
