Ukrzaliznytsia will raise car rental rates in December

Since December 1, Ukrzaliznytsia has increased the rental rates for its own grain wagons and wagons for transporting flour of the conventional type 972 to UAH 1,150/day (without VAT), while in November they were UAH 1,000/day, the company's website reports.

In addition, rental rates for other wagons will increase compared to November:

• cement wagons - from 950 to 1050 hryvnias/day,
• mineral wagons - from 50 to 150 hryvnias/day,
• tanks for the transportation of food products - from 1,200 to 1,600 hryvnias/day,
• semi-wagons - from 1,200 to 1,300 hryvnias/day.

It is worth noting that the increase in the cost of transportation concerns mainly grain cargoes, and not ore or coal, which raises questions - why agricultural producers, who have suffered huge losses for the second year in a row, receive additional costs from the state carrier instead of support.
