Ukraine has changed the rules for controlling exported and imported goods

On November 7, new rules for customs control and registration of export and import goods came into force in Ukraine.

Companies that did not manage to receive the relevant simplifications and benefits provided for by the Customs Code of Ukraine and the Convention on the General Transit Regime by the specified date will now need to present the goods to customs, i.e. deliver them to the customs control zone of the customs office where customs clearance is carried out.

However, the State Customs Service of Ukraine reports that all vehicles carrying goods, without exception, will not be inspected.

"Customs will not inspect 100% of vehicles, but will use a risk-based approach. At the same time, the number and dynamics of triggering risk profiles will not increase, and accordingly, the number of inspections will not increase," the press service of the State Customs Service noted.

It is known that the Ukrainian customs received the required number of seals and changed the schedules of the terminals to ensure the timely clearance of goods, as well as took other measures for the stable functioning of the customs and legal promotion of business.

"In order to solve possible problematic situations during the transition period, the contacts of officials of the customs authorities will be made public. In addition, information about the places of arrival will be disseminated on available resources," the customs office reports.
