More than 10,000 wagons have accumulated in the direction of the western border crossings of Ukraine

Currently, 10,300 wagons are heading towards the western border crossings of Ukraine, which is 1,500 more than in July, - said a representative of Ukrzaliznytsia at a meeting with participants of the grain market on August 24.

Moreover, the number of wagons with grain cargoes increased by 1.3 thousand to 2.9 thousand units compared to July.

The number of wagons with grain moving in the direction of the Vadul-Siret-Dornesti crossing (Romania) increased compared to July from 223 to 741 units, in the direction of Serpneve1-Basarabiaska (Moldova) - from 344 to 592 units. The third busiest crossing is Reni-Giurgiulesti, in which direction the number of wagons with grain increased from 84 to 473 units.

The total number of wagons delivered through railway border crossings in August increased by 145 to 1,793 units, in particular with grain cargoes and cake - from 331 to 448 units.

The pace of export shipments by road to Europe is also increasing. Thus, from August 1 to August 21, 337,000 tons of agricultural products were exported by trucks, compared to 275,000 tons in July and 308,000 tons in June for the same period, Spike Brokers analysts report.

Rapeseed, sunflower oil, wheat and poultry make up the largest share of automotive exports.

The busiest border crossings are "Porubne - Siret", "Krakivets - Korchova", "Yagodin - Dorogusk" and "Chop - Zahon".

The largest demand is for the freight of tipper trucks in the direction of the Danube ports and the port of Constanta, while the demand for awning cars is quite low.
