The pace of grain export from Ukraine corresponds to last year, and the yield of early grain crops is somewhat better

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of the beginning of September, 33.7 million tons of agricultural crops were harvested in Ukraine from 6.697 million hectares, including 29.309 million tons of grain crops with an average yield of 4.38 tons/ha.

Yes, on the specified date:

• wheat - 22.149 million tons from 4.689 thousand hectares with a yield of 4.72 tons/ha (last year, 19.2 million tons were harvested from 4.7 million hectares with a yield of 4.1 tons/ha),
• barley - 5.822 million tons from 1.504 million hectares with a yield of 3.87 tons/ha (5.5 million tons from 1.6 million hectares with a yield of 3.47 tons/ha),
• peas – 386.5 thousand tons from 154.4 thousand hectares with a yield of 2.5 tons/ha (249.7 thousand tons from 109.1 thousand hectares with a yield of 2.29 tons/ha),
• corn - 2 thousand tons from 0.7 thousand ha with a yield of 3 tons/ha,
• buckwheat - 63.3 thousand tons from 45 thousand hectares with a yield of 1.42 tons/ha (12.6 thousand tons from 9.7 thousand hectares with a yield of 1.3 tons/ha),
• millet – 79.4 thousand tons from 33 thousand hectares with a yield of 2.38 tons/ha (16.2 thousand tons from 7.9 thousand hectares with a yield of 2.04 tons/ha),
• other grain and leguminous crops - 807.2 thousand tons from 271 thousand ha.

In addition, 4.353 million tons of oil crops were threshed, namely:

• rapeseed – 3.999 million tons from 1.395 million ha or 98% of the area with a yield of 2.87 t/ha (last year 3.1 million tons from 1.096 million ha with a yield of 2.85 t/ha),
• sunflower – 199.3 thousand tons from 107.4 thousand hectares with a yield of 1.86 tons/ha (81.7 thousand tons from 69 thousand hectares with a yield of 1.17 tons/ha),
• soybeans - 154.1 thousand tons from 60 thousand hectares with a yield of 2.57 tons/ha.

Also, 116,000 tons of sugar beets were dug up from 2,600 hectares with a yield of 44,96 tons/ha.

Agrarians of Odesa region have already collected more than 3 million tons of grain, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad and Dnipropetrovsk regions - more than 2 million tons of grain. The highest yield of grain and leguminous crops - 6.41 t/ha was obtained in Khmelnytskyi region. In 18 oblasts, farmers have finished harvesting rapeseed.

According to the State Customs Service, in 2023/24 FY as of September 8, Ukraine exported 5.054 million tons of grain and leguminous crops (5.291 million tons last year on this date), in particular:

• wheat – 2.293 million tons (1.651 million tons),
• barley - 528 thousand tons (447 thousand tons),
• rye - 0.6 thousand tons (0.8 thousand tons),
• corn - 2.22 million tons (3.174 million tons).

The export of wheat flour on the specified date amounted to 26.7 thousand tons (13.8 thousand tons last year).
