The rates for the transportation of grain by fire from the ports of the Danube have decreased significantly

During the week, freight rates for the transportation of grain by barges from the Danube ports fell sharply due to the reduction in demand and the beginning of the off-season, Atria Brokers reports.

As of April 4, the rates for the transportation of 6,000 tons of corn by fire from the ports of Izmail and Reni decreased compared to the previous week:

• in the direction of Spain by $7-8/t — to $37-39/t,
• to the east coast of Italy — by $7/t to $33-35/t,
• to Israel — by $5-6/t to $35-37/t,
• to the Eastern Mediterranean — by $6/t to $29-31/t,
• to the eastern coast of Greece — by $3-4/t to $27-28/t
• to Marmara — by $2/t to $24-25/t.
