Sabotage of the Russian inspection group leads to an increase in the grain corridor queue

The number of ships waiting to pass through the grain corridor has increased to 145 due to the sabotage of the inspection team from Russia. According to information provided by the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the number of vessels arriving to load grain continued to decrease last week, while the number of vessels in the queue increased due to obstacles created by Russian inspectors at the SCC.

Last week, the Black Sea ports of Ukraine received only 16 vessels, while in the previous week, 25 vessels were received. A total of 1.1 million tons of Ukrainian agricultural products were exported to Africa, Asia and Europe through the "grain corridor". Specifically, 54,000 tons of wheat were sent to Sri Lanka, 57,000 tons to Bangladesh, and another 90,000 tons are expected to be sent to Kenya, Tunisia, and Egypt.

Compared to the previous week, the volume of exports through the ports of Greater Odessa increased by 152,000 tons. However, the decrease in the number of ships arriving at the ports is related to Russia's actions in the inspection zone in the Bosphorus.

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine announced the ongoing sabotage activities of Russia, which leads to an increase in the number of vessels awaiting inspection at the joint coordination center. As a result of Russia's actions, as of February 12, 145 ships were waiting in line, 122 of which were headed to Ukrainian ports for agricultural products.

According to the Ministry, Russia has been using unreasonable and sometimes absurd pretexts to sabotage inspections for the third month in a row. Despite international agreements, Russia continues to block the export of Ukrainian goods, including grain through sea ports, and also artificially curbs the export of grain from Ukraine. The Ministry hopes that the issue of stalling inspections will be resolved by the forces of Ukraine's partners and the entire civilized world, and Russia will stop its discriminatory policy.

Russia continues to wage an active struggle against Ukraine on various fronts, including economic losses. It blocks the export deliveries of all goods through sea ports and, even after the unblocking of food exports through the mediation of the UN and Turkey, continues to carry out the "despicable" work of artificially restraining the export of grain from Ukraine. At the same time, Russia is increasing its grain exports and spreading false accusations of blocking its grain exports to Western countries.
