GASC bought 170,000 tons of wheat from the EU at the tender

GASC purchased 170,000 tons of wheat from the countries of the European Union at the tender held on September 27. Two batches of Romanian wheat, 60,000 tons each, were purchased from Viterra and Cargill. The price was $271.8 per ton of C&F, which is $0.2 lower than the price GASC paid for Romanian wheat in the previous tender on September 20.

One batch of Bulgarian wheat with a volume of 50 thousand tons was purchased from Buildcom at a price of $273.9 per ton C&F. 60,000 tons of wheat will be delivered to Egypt from November 10 to 20, and 110,000 tons from November 21 to 30.

According to experts, wheat from the EU looks the most competitive at the GASC tender. The lowest bid for wheat in GASC's Sept. 20 tender was from Buildcom for Bulgarian wheat at $258.77 per ton FOB, down $5 per ton from the previous Aug. 30 tender.

The most profitable offer for French wheat was from the Viterra company at a price of $260.9 per ton FOB, which is $1.9 per ton higher than the price of the previous GASC tender.

For Romanian wheat, the cheapest offer was at $261.05 per tonne FOB, which is $0.05 per tonne higher than the price GASC paid for Romanian wheat in the August 30 tender.

The only offer for Ukrainian wheat was from the Nibulon company at a price of $280 per ton, which is $10.5 per ton higher than the price for Romanian wheat at the previous tender of August 30. The offer for Russian wheat was at a single price of $270 per ton FOB, which is in line with the price at the previous tender. Wheat will be delivered from November 1 to 15.
