The European Commission 2.2 million has increased the forecast of grain harvest in the EU

According to the published by the European Commission's April forecast, in the next season the EU will be able to collect 309,8 million tons of cereals that will be only 0.1 % less than was collected in the current season. In the previous forecast future harvest were estimated at 307,6 million tons.

Production of soft wheat would be much less than last year's record 151.3 million ton and will amount to 142.8 million ton, although in March it was estimated at 142,4 million. The barley harvest will amount to 61.7 million. tone, although in the previous forecast and last year this figure amounted to 60.6 million tone. Corn will be harvested to 65.3 million tons against last year's 58,2 million tons, which is 0.6 million tonnes more than forecast in March.

the Export potential of next season is estimated at 41.6 million tons, among which are:

• soft wheat 27 million tons,
• barley 10 tons,
• corn 2.9 million tone.

this season on foreign markets will be implemented 45.0 million tons of grain, including:

• soft wheat 29 million tons,
• barley 12.2 million tone,
• corn-2 million tons.
