Argentina temporarily suspends the work of the registry of grain exporters

A day before the new president of Argentina, Javier Miley, announced the introduction of a series of economic measures, the government of the country temporarily stopped the work of the registry of grain exporters from December 11, Nasdaq reports.

The head of the CIARA-CEC Grains Chamber, Gustavo Idigoras, said that the official order to suspend the registry came on December 11 and took effect at 17:00 (20:00 GMT) and will remain in effect until "further notice".

It should be noted that the government of the country had previously suspended the work of the registry, but resumed it a few days after the announcement of economic measures.

The economic measures announced by Miley are expected to include significant fiscal changes and cuts in social spending. And forecasts of the devaluation of the Argentine peso lead to speculative jumps in the markets.
