The grain harvest in Ukraine and Russia continues

Precipitation passing in the second decade of July in the major regions of grain production in Ukraine and Russia, hampered the harvest, but next week the rate of harvest can be accelerating.

In Russia as of 25 July, from 9.2 million hectares and produced 33.9 million tonnes of grain with yields of 3.69 t/ha (2017 – of 4.34 t/ha), in particular:

spring and winter barley-2.5 million tons 809 thousand hectares with a yield of 3.14 t/ha (2017 – 3,82 t/ha).

• spring and winter wheat 29.2 million tonnes from 7.7 million hectares with a yield of 3.82 t/ha (2017 – 4.5 t/ha)

In Ukraine on that date with 6.3 million hectares (65% of area) harvested 20 million tons of grain and leguminous crops with a yield of 3.19 t/ha, in particular:

spring wheat 37 thousand tons of the 16 million ha (9%) with the productivity of 2.30 t/ha/,

winter barley 2.9 million tonnes 816 thousand hectares (99%) with the yield of 3.51 t/ha,

spring barley and 1.3 million tonnes from 628 thousand hectares (41%) with the yield of 1.99 t/ha,

pea 541 thousand tons from 319 thousand hectares (75%) with a yield of 1.7 t/ha,

rye 67 thousand tonnes from 27.5 thousand hectares (19%) with a yield of 2.45 t/ha,

oats 16 thousand tons from 9.3 thousand hectares (5%) with a yield of 1.75 t/ha.

• winter wheat and 15 million tonnes from 4.4 million hectares (70%) with a yield of 3.42 tons/ha,

in addition, 902 thousand hectares (92% of plan) were milled of 2.3 million tonnes of winter rapeseed with a yield of 2.58 t/ha, from 7.5 thousand hectares (14%) produced 11 thousand tons of spring rapeseed with a yield of 1.5 t/ha.

the Pace of grain exports grow due to lower forecast production and higher prices.

According FMR Russia, the volume of grain exports as of July 25 compared with the corresponding period of the previous MG increased 2.1 times to 3.3 million tonnes, excluding deliveries to the countries of the EEU.

in Ukraine In the 2018/19 season as of 25 July, the export of grain has decreased in comparison with the same period of 2017 to 269 thousand tonnes to 1.49 million tonnes, in particular:

barley – 84 thousand tons to 430 thousand tons,

corn – 131 thousand tons to 631 thousand tons.
