The purchase price of the tender in Egypt rose again
Yesterday, the Egyptian GASC bought at the tender 300 tons of Ukrainian, Romanian and Russian wheat protein 12.5%, and supply from 25 August to 5 September.
Since the beginning of season weekly GASC buys wheat tenders parties 60-240 thousand tons in anticipation of lower prices, which pushes a good world crop this season. However, the actual purchase price at auction is gradually increasing.
Yesterday to participate in the tender participated the following wheat:
Romanian for the price 203,88-206,86 $/t FOB (the minimum price increased by 5 $/t)
Ukrainian price 198,8-202,97 $/t FOB (the minimum price has decreased by 0,2 $/t).
- at the Russian price 202,72-207,15 $/t FOB (the minimum price of 6 $/t higher than at the previous auction),
In the end, the auction was purchased:
60 KMT of Ukrainian wheat from company GIS price 201,6 $/t FOB South + freight to 18.3 $/t = 219,90 $/t CFR,
120 thousand tons of Romanian wheat from company Ameropa price 203,6 $/MT FOB Constanta + 16,3 freight $/t = 219,90 $/t CFR,
60 thousand tons of Russian wheat from company Solarisp for the price of a 205.5 $/MT FOB Novorossiysk + 14,4 freight $/t = 219,90 $/t CFR.
- 60 thousand tons of Ukrainian wheat at the company Hakan at a price 198,8 $/t FOB Odessa + 18,9 freight $/t = 217,70 $/t CFR,
the Purchase price with shipping was $4/ton higher than the tender which took place a week ago.
High quality Ukrainian wheat in the current season will increase the volume of proposals with a grain protein of 12.5% on the Egyptian market, which will increase competition with the dominant there in Russian wheat.
