Ukraine sowed winter crops for 79% of the planned areas

According to Minagropolitiki, on October 12, domestic farmers sowed winter crops 5,724 million hectares, representing 79% of the projected volume, in particular:

• wheat 5,111 million hectares (83% of plan)
• rape 820 thousand hectares (106%),
• barley 477 thousand hectares (52%),
• rye 161 thousand hectares (84%).

Active pace continued harvesting late grains.

• Corn 1,546 million hectares (34% of the forecast), harvested 6,688 million tons with a yield of 4,33 t/ha.
• Buckwheat with 155 thousand hectares (85%) collected 173 thousand tons with a yield of 1,12 t/ha.
• of Millet with 52 thousand hectares (93%) collected 77 thousand tons with a yield of 1,47 t/ha.

in addition the collection of the late oil crops.

• Sunflower with 5,016 million hectares (84%) collected 9,737 million tons with a yield of 1,94 tons per hectare.
• Soybean 1,296 million hectares (65%) collected 2,365 mln tonnes with the yield of 1,82 t/ha.

On a specified date in the area of 136 thousand hectares (43%) collected 5,867 million tonnes of sugar beet with an average yield of 43,1 t/ha.
