Ukraine and Russia have gathered 2/3 of the crop

As of September 4, Ukraine with 10.1 million hectares, or 66% of the area harvested 39.5 million tonnes of grain with an average yield of 3.92 t/ha.

currently in the country are collected:

1,4 million tons of sunflower with a yield of 1.95 t/ ha with 719 thousand hectares or 12% of the area,

278 thousand tonnes of soybeans with a yield of 2.27 t/ha with 122 thousand hectares or 8% of the area.

• 39.2 million tons of early grain and leguminous crops with a yield of 3.94 t/ha from 9.96 million hectares, or 99.9% of the area,

According to Directorului, grain exports in the new season compared to the same period of the previous MG increased from 6 to 10 million tons, in particular:

barley – from 1,6 to 2,2 million tons,

wheat – from 3.7 to 6.1 million tons (including food – from 2.1 to 4.3 million tons, forage from 1.5 to 1.8 million t).

• corn from 1.3 to 1.7 million tons,

in addition, exports of oilseeds in the new season also increased from 1.2 to 1.8 million tons.

In Russia as of 5 September to 31.1 million hectares or 66.4% of the area harvested 89.9 million tonnes of grain with a yield of 2.9 t/ha (in 2018 of 2.83 t/ha), in particular:

barley – 17.9 million tons from 6.9 million hectares, or 78,1% of the area with a yield of 2.61 t/ha (2018 – 2,33 t/ha),

corn – 461,9 thousand tonnes 94.8 million hectares or 3.7% of the area with a yield of 4.87 t/ha (in 2018 was 3.13 t/ha),

sunflower – 1 mln tonnes 452,5 thousand ha or 5.3% with a yield of 2.27 t/ha (in 2018 of 1.98 t/ha),

canola – 856 thousand tons 428,8 thousand hectares or 27.5% of the area with productivity of 2.0 t/ha (2018 – 1.74 t/ha)

soy – 905,4 thousand tons 444,2 thousand hectares or 14.5% of the area with productivity of 2.04 t/ha (2018 – 1,72 t/ha).

• wheat – 63,7 million tonnes from 19.8 million ha or 70.7% of the area with a yield of 3.21 t/ha (2018 – 3,24 t/ha),

IN 2019/20 MG grain export from Russia compared with the same period last year decreased from 10.3 to 9.1 million tonnes, including wheat – from 8.7 to 7.7 million tons, - said in Rusagrotrans.

However, the pace of wheat exports, the country is increasing due to lower domestic prices and the weakening of the ruble, increasing competition from Ukrainian wheat, sales of which are declining.

In July, the Russian manufacturers held back sales in anticipation of higher prices, however, long-term drop in the market forced exporters to lower prices to enhance sales.
