In 2017/18, my Ukraine exported over 39 million tons of grain

In season 2017/18 Ukraine sold on world markets 39,375 million tonnes of grain, in particular:

17,139 million tons of wheat,

4,289 million tonnes of barley,

874,8 tonnes of peas (which is twice more than in the previous MG),

36,8 thousand tons of rye.

• 17,739 million tons of corn,

in addition, during the specified period was sold for export 412,6 thousand tons of flour and 4.8 million tons of oilseeds, of which:

soy – 2.7 million tons.

• rapeseed - 2.1 mln tonnes,

According to preliminary estimates of the analytical center of "Rusagrotrans", the export of grain from Russia in the 2017/18 season reached a record 53.3 million tonnes, down from 35.5 million tons in 2016/17 MG. And given the bean (1.36 million tons), flour (0,35 million tons) and sales to the countries of the EEU (0.98 mln t) total volume of deliveries abroad is estimated at 56 million tonnes, down 37 million tonnes from a year earlier.

in General, in comparison with the previous season, exports increased as follows:

barley – 3.4 million tons to 6.2 million tons,

corn – 460 thousand tonnes to 5.7 million tonnes.

• wheat - 14.1 million tonnes to 41,07 million tonnes, making Russia the second time in history became the world's largest exporter of wheat,

the increase in the production and export of grain from Russia creates serious competition in the markets for traditional exporters. Last year's record grain harvest in Russia collapsed, wheat prices on the world market, so analysts are now closely watching forecasts and harvest of wheat exports from the country in the new season, as the Russian wheat remains the cheapest in the world market and continues to expand into new markets.
