Wheat prices in Ukraine decline
In Ukraine continue to decrease purchasing prices for wheat, as traders and processors expect a good harvest of grain in the new season. Experts predict that in 2017/18 MG domestic farmers will collect the 25 million tons of wheat.
Today, in the ports of Ukraine for wheat offer:
- 2 grade 162-164 $/ton or 4900-5100 UAH/t,
- 3 grade 160-162 $/ton or 4900-5050 UAH/t,
- feed 158-160 $/ton or 4700-4900 UAH/t
Processors are willing to pay 4800-4900 UAH/t with delivery to the plant.
Quotes of French wheat on Wednesday fell slightly, as in the main production regions of France after a long drought, finally the rain passed.
- September futures milling wheat on MATIF fell by € 1.50/tonne to € 170,25/t or 185,93 $/t
In Chicago at the end of trading on Wednesday July futures wheat has not changed in price.
Yet there is no information about the impact of recent snow storms on the condition of crops in areas of wheat production, therefore investors are very careful.
Experts estimate the weekly export potential of the wheat crop of 2016 0-150 thousand tons, and of wheat harvest 2017 200-400 thousand tons.
