The purchase price of wheat at the tender in Egypt increased again by 1 14 / ton

A sharp increase in prices for Black Sea wheat, due to lower production forecasts for the United States, Canada and Russia, led to the fact that the purchase price at the tender of the Egyptian grain agency GASC increased by another ще 14/ton compared to the auction on July 27.

The trend of reducing the number of bids continued, and only 5 bids were submitted for yesterday's tender, compared to 11 a week ago and 18 three weeks ago. There were no offers of Ukrainian wheat, although a week ago there were the most of them and they had the lowest price.

The following proposals took part in the auction:

• 2 Romanian wheat at the price of F 261.49-F 263.86/ton FOB, which is 1 11.3/ton higher than at the previous auction,
• 3 Russian wheat at the price of F 267-278.49/ton FOB (++17.97 / ton).

As a result, GASC purchased one cheapest batch of Romanian food wheat from Cofco with a volume of 60 tons with 12.5% protein and delivery from September 24 to October 4 at a price of F 261.49/ton FOB + freight of F 32.25/ton = C 293.74/ton C&F which is 1 16.1/ton FOB or липня 14.34/ton C&F higher than the purchase price at the tender on July 27.

GASC purchased 240 thousand tons of Romanian wheat at previous tenders on May 24, 180 thousand tons of Romanian wheat on June 28, 180 thousand tons of Romanian and 60 thousand tons of Russian wheat on July 5, 180 thousand tons of Romanian wheat on July 14, and 120 thousand tons of Ukrainian and 60 thousand tons of Romanian wheat on July 27.
