The price of Ukrainian wheat under the pressure of falling demand and competition with the Russian

In the current season Russia harvested 87 million tons of wheat, of which can export million tons 30-33 High volume of proposals of Russian wheat closed to Ukrainian grain markets of Turkey and Egypt. But Ukrainian wheat has good prospects of exports to the EU (primarily forage in Italy and Spain) and Asia.

the Intention of the Indian government to raise the import duty on wheat from 10% to 20% can significantly reduce the import of Ukrainian wheat. Most experts believe that the rise in the duty would effectively ban the import of grain.

in the last two seasons, India has significantly increased its wheat imports because of falling of its own production, due to adverse weather conditions. In the 2016/17 season the import of wheat was 5.75 million tons, of which nearly 3 million tons were imported from Ukraine.
