The price of soybean oil at $40 to $ 45/ton higher than the price of sunflower

According to the information Agency APK-inform, today, export prices of soybean oil in Ukraine exceeds the bid prices of crude sunflower oil by about $40 to $ 45/ton.

As of 02.12.2016 export prices of soybean oil are sounded at the level of 820-830 $/t on FOB basis, whereas in sunflower oil please 775-790 $/ton on FOB.

According to experts, this trend was primarily due to the stated intentions of the American government to increase the share of biofuels in transport fuels. This will lead to increased demand for soy oil and has caused growth of quotations on commodity markets.

it is Noted that on the same date in the previous year sunflower oil on the export market of Ukraine was 75-85 $/t more expensive than soy.

As earlier reported, the futures of soybean oil continue to rise.

• 773,60 $/ton for deliveries in January 2017
• 777,34 $/ton for delivery in March 2017,
• 787,27 $/ton for deliveries in September 2017.
