World production of biodiesel in 2019 will reach a record level

According to experts Oil World, world production of biodiesel in the current year will increase compared to the previous year by 3.6 million tons to a record 44.8 million tonnes, which was 5.1 million tonnes will exceed the average 5-year average.

So, thanks to the state support of domestic industry, Indonesia will increase the production of biofuels directly from 5.4 to 7.4 million tons in the US, slightly less – from 7.2 to 7.6 million tons, Brazil from 4.7 to 5.1 mln t. However, if the Brazilian authorities will increase the share of mandatory content of biofuels in fuel, the increased production of biodiesel in the country could be much less.

In addition, due to the reduction of demand for biofuels from the US, Argentina will cut the production to 2.3 million tons.
