Strategie Grains reduced the forecast of rapeseed production by the EU countries in the season 2016/17 MG

experts of the analytical Agency Strategie Grains has published a new forecast of production of oilseeds with the EU in the new season.

According to the forecast, the harvest of rapeseed in the 2016/17 season my is going to be 21.24 million tons, which is 3.1% lower than last year. The acreage under rapeseed will be reduced by 2.2% to 6.31 million hectares and the average yield will decrease by 0.9% to 3.37 t/ha.

the Gross yield of sunflower seeds by 8.9% over the previous season and amount of 8.29 million tons. The sown areas under sunflower seed will increase by 1% to 4.17 million hectares, and the yield will increase by 8.2% to 1.99 tons/ha.

Experts predict the growth of soybean production EU countries 7.2% to 2.38 million. Acreage under soybean will increase by 3.5% to 0.8 million ha, and the yield will increase by 3.8% to 2.71 ton/ha.

an increase in the forecast of gross yield of rapeseed does not allow to maintain the price for it, so on Friday on the French MATIF they fell to 3 euros per ton to 357 Euro/tone 397 or $/ton.

In Ukraine, the price of rapeseed also fell:

• on the basis of CPT-port, it is 380-382 $/tonne or USD 10800/ton,
• on the internal elevators offer 9900-10200 UAH/tone.
