Russia has almost completed the harvest, Ukraine is a little behind

As of 06.10.17 domestic farmers harvested 42.9 mln t of grain from 11.1 million hectares, which is 76% of the planned processing of 14.6 million hectares.

currently collected:

• 5 million tons of maize on the yield of 42.2 t/ha from 1.2 million ha (26% of the planned 4.5 million ha),
• 165 thousand tons of buckwheat with a yield of 11.2 t/ha with 148 thousand hectares (81% from 182 thousand hectares),
• 73 thousand tons of millet yield of 14.5 t/ha 50 thousand ha (89% from 56 thousand hectares),
• 8.9 million tons of sunflower seeds with a yield of 19.1 t/ha 4.7 million ha (79% of the 5.9 million ha),
• 2.1 million tons of soybeans with a yield of 18.1 C/ha with 1.1 million hectares (57% of 2.0 million ha),
• 4.5 million tonnes of sugar beet on the yield of 426 kg/ha with 107 thousand hectares (34% of 318 thousand hectares).

According to the Russian agricultural agencies, on a specified date produced 128 million tons of grain with yield of 30 q/ha from 42.7 million hectares, accounting for 90.7 per cent of the total harvesting areas. In 2016, the same date from 43.3 million hectares were collected at 112.8 million tonnes of grain with a yield of 26.1 centners/ha.

• Winter and spring wheat from 26.2 million hectares (94.8% of the forecast), collected 85.5 million tonnes with a yield of 32.6 t/ha (in 2016 from 27 million hectares was produced 75.4 million tons with a yield of 27.9 t/ha).
• Winter and spring barley 7.5 million ha (94.9% of the forecast), collected 21.1 MMT with a yield of 28 t/ha (in 2016, with 8.1 million ha were harvested 19 million tons with a yield of 23.5 t/ha).
• Maize from 1.2 million ha (39.8% of the forecast), collected 5.5 million tons with a yield of 47 t/ha (in 2016 with 784,3 thousand hectares were harvested 4.2 million tons with a yield of 52.9 kg/ha).
• Sunflower with 2.6 million ha (33.3% of the forecast), collected 4.7 million tons with a yield of 18.2 C/ha (in 2016, from 2.3 million hectares were harvested 4.2 million tons with a yield of 17.8 t/ha).
• Soybeans, 1 million ha (38.9% of the forecast) collected 1.7 million tonnes with a yield of 16.6 C/ha (in 2016 726,7 thousand ha were harvested 1.4 million tonnes with a yield of 18.6 C/ha).
• Rapeseed 785,5 thousand ha (79,7% of the forecast), collected 1.4 million tonnes with a yield of 17,5 C/ha (in 2016, from 811,1 thousand ha were harvested 1 million tons with a yield of 12.3 C/ha).
