Record-breaking exports have supported the price of American wheat
On all the American sites in Thursday trading ended with growth of quotations. The driving force for this was the results of the weekly export sales far exceeded expectations of experts. During the week, exporters have managed to implement the largest since the beginning of the current season the volume of wheat – 853,36 thousand tons, while the expert expectations were in the range of 200-525 thousand tons.
Total sales of us wheat in the season 2016/17 MG, 34.2% higher than the previous season. Unfortunately, the strengthening of the U.S. dollar did not allow the grain prices to grow too much.

- in Chicago 0.92 $/tonne to 156,89 $/tones of soft wheat SRW,
- in Kansas city 0.92 $/tonne to 161,76 $/tone for hard wheat HRW,
- in Minneapolis at 3.40 $/tonne to 208,24 $/tones hard wheat HRS.
Egypt 25 January acquired in the tender 410 thousand tons of Russian wheat for delivery in March. Compared to the price proposals, the final price received a substantial discount and made 203-204.54$/тн $/t C&F. the Increased competition among the black sea wheat does not allow prices to rise.
In the Ukraine for minor currency export demand wheat prices remain unchanged, however, hryvnia prices fell slightly due to the strengthening of the hryvnia on the interbank market to 27.17-27, and 25 UAH/$.
