Forecast of world production of sunflower increased by 2.2 million tonnes

In the December balance experts USDA increased compared to the previous report, the forecast of world production of oilseeds in 2019/20 MG 3.3 million tonnes to 574,6 million tons, primarily due to the growth of soybean production in China, 1 million tons of sunflower seed in Ukraine and Russia by 2.2 million tons.

According to the new forecast, compared with the previous season, world production of soybeans will be reduced by 20.73 million tonnes to 337,48 million tonnes, rapeseed – 3,916 million tons to 68.02 million tons, while sunflower will grow by 2,171 million tonnes to 53,48 million tons.

in comparison with November forecast assessment of sunflower oil production in Ukraine in 2019/20 Mr increased from 5,906 to 6,536 million tons and meal – from 6,149 to 6,278 million tons.

the Increase in world production will lead to increased global processing to 49.1 million tons, 2.26 million tons higher than the figure recorded 2018/19 Mr. As a consequence, ending stocks of sunflower will be reduced to 2.6 million tonnes 0.24 million tons will give the level 2018/19 Mr.

Due to the increase in prices for vegetable oil is growing demand for sunflower, so the purchase prices in Ukraine and Russia continue to recover after the collapse early in the season to multi-year low.
