Improved weather conditions in Ukraine contributes to the development of early grain

Due to precipitation, which took place in Ukraine in the second decade of may, and to reduce the air temperature, improved the conditions for forming of harvest of early grain crops and starting conditions of the late growing season of agricultural crops, reports Ukrainian hydrometeorological.

Even in the southern regions the negative impact of drought on crops of early grain crops has decreased. The hot weather that prevailed in the Nikolaev, Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions during the formation of reproductive organs of winter crops, damaged crops, which led to premature heading and flowering of the spike, the education of a small number of productive stems, daytime wilting of plants, drying of the stems.

As of may 20, due to the high amount of moisture in the early spring, most of the areas of provision of crops with moisture remained satisfactory. Plants of winter crops are in good and satisfactory condition, however there is a significant heterogeneity in terms of the amount of productive stems formed that will further affect the crop.
