Taxation farmers again discussed in the government

currently, the government considers several principles of taxation of agricultural producers of Ukraine in 2017. Offered the following options:

• complete special regime abolition for all farmers
• return to 100% accumulation of VAT on special accounts for all farmers,
• introduction of special regimes for VAT for livestock farmers, gardeners,
• to reduce the VAT rate for all farmers.

According to the Director of the Department of financial-credit policy of the Ministry of agrarian policy of Ukraine Bagrat Chiganova, the abolition of the special VAT taxation regime, under the Tax code, due to come into effect from 2017, will more worsen the situation of livestock producers.

In turn, the Deputy of chief the agricultural Committee Verkhovna Rada Mykola Kucher said that the Parliament is considering two possible changes: a complete return to the special regimes for VAT or the introduction of a special regime only for the domestic market.

Skotsyk said that domestic producers are prepared 4 October to declare a nationwide strike to demand changes to government policy in relation to taxation of agricultural enterprises and to return to the system of tax assessment that was effective until January 1, 2016.
