The economy Ministry has sharply reduced the forecast of the harvest and of wheat exports from Ukraine in 2020/21 MG

According to the Ministry of economy, in the 2020/21 year Ukraine will grow 23.2 million tons of wheat, which is 18% less than collected last year to 28.3 million tonnes.

the forecast of wheat exports was reduced to 14.9 million tonnes, which is 25% less than the record 20.5 million tons exported in the current season.

Until the specified exports 'is a preliminary assessment working group of the Ministry of economy, but traders believe that Ukraine can export more grain without compromising food security.

Head of the Department of agrometeorology Ukrggri T. Adamenko believes that in the new season under favorable weather conditions, Ukrainian farmers will gather 68 million tonnes of grain. Until the weather allows us to hope for a record corn crop, whereas wheat production in the Odessa, Kherson and other southern regions this year will decrease due to the drought of March-April, which damaged the crops.

UGA Experts predict that wheat production in 2020/21 MG will be 26.8 million tons and its export of 18 million tons, while USDA estimates put it at 19 million tons.

In this season, as of 1 June Ukraine exported 54,35 million tonnes of grain, in particular wheat – 20,16 million tonnes with an agreed Memorandum between the government and traders 20.2 million tons.

each year, the agriculture Ministry and traders signed the Memorandum, which defines the maximum volume of wheat exports in the season. Traders agree to not exceed the agreed volumes of exports, but the Ministry promises not to change the export rules.
