The Ministry of agrarian policy offers to bring legislation in the field of bioethanol to the European standards

the Ministry of agrarian policy of Ukraine plans at the legislative level to establish norms content in gasoline ethanol, and also will help to expand the scope of application in various industries ethyl alcohol. This is according to the press service of the Ministry from 05.05.16 announced the Deputy head of the Ministry of agrarian policy A. Kovalev.

She said that the Ministry proposes to align existing domestic legislation with European norms, which plans to adopt the excise tax on alcohol at the level of the zero rate in the case where it is used as raw material in the production of household chemicals, vinegar, medium of use and technical perfumery and cosmetic products.

the representative of the Ministry said that the directives which now apply in the EU regulating the utilization rate of ethanol in gasoline for automotive transport in the amount of 10 %, so that the content of CO2 in automotive emissions reduced by 30 %, and the proportion of aerosol harmful substances is reduced by 50 %. If the Ukrainian authorities will take the example of the EU and legally reglamentary mandatory content of bioethanol in the fuel, it not only has a positive impact on the state of the environment, but also will promote the development of bioethanol production in Ukraine. The necessary power for this country are available, and the agricultural sector is able to provide the required amount of raw materials.
