The Ministry has signed with grain exporters, the Memorandum of understanding

Ministry agroprodmach signed to 2017/18 MG a Memorandum of understanding with the entities that are engaged in the export of grain, according to the Ukrainian grain Association.

In the first article of the document, the parties agreed to cooperate in harmonizing the balance of the domestic grain market, in particular, in part of the calculations of the maximum amounts of grain exports in the season 2017/18 to ensure state food security and avoid government imposed export restrictions.

Previously, the maximum volume of export needs to be agreed before September 29, 2017

the Ministry has pledged agroprodmach weekly to provide exporters with data on volumes sold on external markets of grain and not less than 2 months before the probable change of the trade regime to report on the crisis export opportunities. Exporters, for their part, after receiving a request in writing to inform the Ministry about the actual and planned grain exports.

the Memorandum shall enter into force upon signature and is valid until July 1, 2018.
