China imported a record volume of oilseeds

According to the Oil World analysts, active, imports of soybeans by China in the current season has led to the fact that in January-August 2017 the country has bought on external markets the maximum in its history, 63.3 million tons of oil, against 53.9 million tonnes for the period of last season.

Recall that the supply of soybeans to China in August this year reached a record for the month of 8.45 (7,67) million tons, but by the end of September the seasonal procurement can be reduced to 7.5-8 million tons, which, however, will still be higher than last year. Thus in October-November purchases of the oilseed, according to analysts, will surpass the level of last year.

Experts Also note that imports of rapeseed in China in August was reduced to 318 (429) thousand tons, but in January-August, procurement of oilseeds have increased - to 3.36 (2,76) million tons, the greater part of the specified volume was the canadian canola – 3,24 (2,74) million tons.
