The European Union in 2019/20 Mr imported a record volume of rapeseed

According to the European Commission, in season 2019/20 EU countries including the UK imported a record 6 million tons of rapeseed, which is 42% higher than purchased in the previous season, 4.2 million tons.

Ukraine's Share in the total imports of rapeseed to the EU amounted to almost 47% or 2.8 million tons, Canada – 33% or 1.9 million tons, Australia – 15% or 941 thousand tons.

the Main European importers of rapeseed in 2019/20 Mr were the Netherlands (25% of total imports, or 1.5 million tons), France (24% or 1.48 million MT), Belgium (21% or 1.2 million tonnes) and Germany (19% or 1.1 million tons).

Imports of soybeans into the EU in 2019/20 MG made up of 15.05 mln tonnes, which almost corresponds to last year's figure of 15.1 million tonnes, while imports of sunflower seeds has doubled to 1.04 million tons.

at the same time the EU increased its imports of processed products of oilseeds. Thus, in comparison with the previous season, imports of soybean meal grew by 0.2 million tonnes to 18.05 million tons, sunflower oil – by 0.5 million tonnes to 2.3 million tonnes, rapeseed oil – 5 thousand tons to 268,6 thousand tons.
