European pressure on the Chicago wheat exchange

on Friday in American wheat areas continued growth of quotations. And only market in Chicago was not able to withstand the trend and ended with a minus.

the Reason was the significant depreciation of the European wheat. This factor could not compensate for even the surprisingly good export results of the next weeks. Despite the best expectations of 500 thousand tons failed to realize 661,1 thousand tons of U.S. wheat.

As of 9 September quotes of the American wheat had the following dynamics:

• 0.37 $/tonne to 138,15 $/ton cheaper soft wheat SRW in Chicago
• 0.37 $/tonne to 144,58 $/ton rose hard wheat HRW in Kansas city
• 1.29 $/tonne to 183,16 $/ton rose hard spring wheat HRS in Minneapolis.

Remains relatively high export activity from the EU to Third world countries. The European Commission has issued certificates for export of 5.06 million tons of wheat, but the share of France is lower compared to previous years.

• Milling wheat according to the agreements of September on MATIF fell by € 1.50/tonne to 158,25 Euro/tone or 178,00 $/ton.
