The European Parliament increased quotas for Ukrainian farmers

the European Parliament has supported the Commission's proposal and increased quotas for Ukrainian supplies of corn, oats, barley, cereals and processed grains, grape juice and honey. However, MEPs refused to increase the quota for supplies of wheat, tomato and Ukrainian urea production.

 

the decision to increase the quota on the following products:

the

  • corn – 650 thousand tons,
  • the
  • barley – 350 thousand tons,
  • the
  • processed cereals and grain – 7.8 thousand tons,
  • the
  • oats – 4 thousand tons,
  • the
  • honey – on 3 thousand tons,
  • the
  • juice from grapes – 0.5 thousand tons.

 

Recall that the Autonomous trade preferences the EU was established the following quotas:

the

  • wheat 950 thousand tons,
  • the
  • corn-400 thousand tons
  • the
  • barley-250 thousand tons,
  • the
  • sugar 20 thousand tons,
  • the
  • tomato, Apple and grape juice - 10 thousand tons,
  • the
  • honey 5 thousand tons
  • the
  • oats 4 thousand tons,
  • the
  • garlic 500 t

 

Ukraine in 2017, set in the EU 960 thousand tons of wheat and has fully complied with the annual quota. While the quota for the import of soft wheat from third countries (2,378 million tons) of selected 7.4% or 177,162 thousand tons.

 

the Quota of 450 thousand tons on deliveries in EU of Ukrainian corn was made in the first week of 2017. Now it is increased to 650 thousand tons, but this amount will be delivered in a very short time.

 

the Annual quota on imports of Ukrainian barley in 270 thousand tons is made of 75% or 202,303 thousand tons It increased to 350 thousand tons, although there are doubts as to its 100% implementation.
