The export of agricultural products brought to Ukraine 42.5% of the export earnings

In 2016, the exports of agricultural products from Ukraine totaled 15.5 billion dollars and by 4.5 per cent higher than in 2015. This information was provided by Deputy Minister of agrarian policy of Ukraine V. Trofimova.

"the Domestic agricultural sector, including processing industry, in 2016, showed excellent results, providing 42.5% of the total exports of Ukraine. Foreign trade volume APK has reached 19.6 billion dollars. exports of agricultural products increased by 4.5%. And there is still potential for further intensification of exports of agricultural products and food products diversification of product lines and the increase in the total export structure the share obtained by internal processing of products with high added value," - said O. Trofimova.

the Main export agrotourism in 2016 were grains and oilseeds, sugar, oil and meat. The largest buyers were the countries of Asia (45.9 per cent of exports, representing 7 billion dollars), EU countries (27,5% = 4.2 billion dollars), Africa (15.7 per cent = 2.4 billion $) and CIS (7,7% = 0.2 billion $), the US (0,9% = 45 million $).

As earlier reported, Ministry of agrarian policy, in 2015 the export of Ukrainian agricultural products amounted to 14.6 billion us dollars or 38.1% of total exports. Then Asia bought 45% of the domestic exports of agricultural products, Europe – 28,2%, Africa – 13.6% of countries-members of the CIS – 10%. In the commodity structure, the share of grain crops occupied 16% of the AgroExport, fats and oils 9%, oilseeds – 4%.
