DFS will refund the VAT within two months after filing

State fiscal service of Ukraine will try until the end of this year to provide domestic enterprises the refund of value added tax within two months from the date of filing, although under the current legislation this period is 74 days.

Chairman of the SFS of Ukraine Mr Nasirov said that in January-August 2016 the volume of VAT refunds has almost doubled compared to the same period last year, moreover, managed to avoid having overdue debt.

Compensation of the VAT is a problem that has existed for many years. We believe, however, that almost solved it. Only the first 8 months of this year, the state reimbursed nearly 55 billion hryvnia, whereas in the past year, this figure amounted to 38 bln. Today there are no arrears, only in some numbers, where there are certain observations, but their number is not more than 5-10% of average monthly compensation," - said the Chairman of the DFS.
